Looking for a quick weekend getaway? How about a road trip to South Lake Tahoe? Trust me, it’s a vibe! Located on the California-Nevada border, this place is a dream for outdoor adventures, breathtaking views and relaxation.
For all you nature lovers out there, South Lake Tahoe is a paradise. In the summer, you can chill by the crystal clear waters of Lake Tahoe, go kayaking, paddleboarding, or simply soak up the sun on the beach. Oh and do not forget your sunscreen, it gets really hot. And if hiking is your thing, there are trails for all levels, from easy strolls to challenging treks with epic mountain views.
But hold up, there’s more to Tahoe than just outdoor fun. South Lake Tahoe also has a lively dining scene and cool nightlife. Whether you’re into casual eating, upscale dining, or hitting up a bar, you’ll find something to satisfy your cravings and most importantly your wallet. There are also casinos downtown for a little extra excitement.
When it comes to finding a place to crash, South Lake Tahoe has got you covered. Whether you’re in the mood for a cozy cabin in the woods, a luxurious lakeside resort, or a budget-friendly hotel, you’ll find the perfect spot to kick back and relax after a day of being adventurous or out exploring.
A few of the places I visited during my most recent stay, I enjoyed Emerald Bay State Park, the views were breathtaking. I had an amazing dinner at Wolf, Vanderpump’s very elegant and upscale restaurant (located in Harveys Casino). If you know me then you already know that I’m going to try something different, the food was delicious and the cocktails were super cute and delightful. I highly recommend making reservations, although the wait was not terrible, nothing beats walking right in to be seated.
Riva Grill is another place, it’s a must-visit dining destination in South Lake Tahoe. With its stunning waterfront, delicious cuisine, and very chill atmosphere, Riva Grill’s dining experience is like no other. As you approach Riva Grill, you’ll be greeted by the sight of the restaurant’s expansive outdoor patio overlooking the crystal-clear waters of Lake Tahoe. With panoramic views of the lake surrounded by the beautiful mountains, this is the perfect spot to relax and unwind while enjoying a meal and of course a delicious cocktail.
Overall, I enjoyed my weekend in South Lake Tahoe from the gorgeous views to the top-notch dining. South Lake Tahoe is definitely a place to you should consider visiting, you will not regret it.
