I recently traveled to Cancun, Mexico on a girls trip. The trip itself was very relaxing and the weather was perfect. When I say Cancun doesn’t owe me anything….. This was my first visit Cancun although I’ve traveled to other areas in Mexico. It was also my first time out of the country on leisure since Covid-19. Nevertheless, it was definitely a much needed getaway.
I wanted to take a moments to share some of my travel essentials.
- Lume Mini LED Light. I used this as a food light to capture very vibrant photos of my food. Sometimes restaurant lighting is not sufficient. The light is the size of a credit card, therefore its very compact. It will fit either in your purse or pocket. The light is chargeable with a digital display of the remaining charge time and the brightness level is also adjustable.
- Carbon Monoxide Alarm. This was highly recommended by one of my girlfriends following the recent deaths of the three tourist in the Bahamas (News Article). Carbon Monoxide poisoning was the alleged cause of death. I figure you can never be too cautious so I grabbed for our trip. It is battery operated, I removed the batteries until we arrived at the resort.
- Phone Tripod. This was my saving grace. I absolutely love taking pictures and capturing the moment. Having to constantly ask people to take a picture for me is not really my preference and I am sure it becomes a bit annoying. I travel everywhere with my tripod, it’s very light, compact, and comes with a bluetooth remote. I currently have an iPhone 12 Max and its fits perfect. Most of the pictures on this trip were taken using my tripod. Did I mention it can be used as a selfie stick as well. I highly recommend and its inexpensive.
- Lysol Spray / Sunscreen / Clorox Wipes. OK, the lysol spray and clorox are a must have for any trip especially post COVID-19. I usually pre-sanitized the room prior settling in. Oh and don’t forget your sunscreen, protect your skin always. Getting sunburned is the worst. I also travel with the hand sanitizer spray vice the gel along with disposable mask.
